Terravin was establihed with the sole focus of making world class Pinot Noir from New Zealand. The vineyard is situated on the north facing slopes of the Omaka Valley, inland Marlborough. Planting of the vineyard is high density and follows the age old principals of low yeild per vine and maximising concentration and flavour from our generous Marlborough climate. After 21 years in the local industry as a viticulturist having sold our first hill side vineyard Clayvin to Lay and Wheeler and Fromm wines in 1999, my wife and I decided to make wine from our new vineyard TerraVin. Our emphasis is on making individual wines that reflect the Terrior of this unique vineyard and wines that are both worhty and able to age well. We look forward to offering the world a taste of TerraVin as we organise distributors for our first major release the 2002 TerraVin Pinot Noir.
