HARTZ BARN WINES. Established in 1997, Hartz Barn Wines is our family operated vineyard and wine enterprise based in the village of Moculta, Eden Valley, Barossa region of South Australia. Our label depicts the home of HARTZ BARN WINES, the Hentschke Moculta General Store established in 1885 and the activities that took place are recorded with the varieties of our wines. The HARTZ BARN WINES Dennistone Vineyard is planted to drought and phylloxera resistant grape vines stock with the varietal bio-types being selected to produce premium wines that are grape variety flavour ripe, balanced and distinctly display their Barossa heritage. This vineyard is planted to Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling and Lagrein. These HARTZ BARN red wines are matured in barrique oak barrels made from French and or American oak plantation timber.
