A winemaking family with over 300 years of winemaking tradition. Our winery is currently managed by master winemaker Volker Kolb and his wife Claudia, the 9th and 10th generations. Since 2009, after passing his journeyman's examination, their son Mathias has also been involved. In 2013, he also completed his apprenticeship and earned his master winemaker title.
As a family business, we currently cultivate 80,000 vines on 18 hectares of vineyards.
Our loess-loam and clay-marl soils in the communities of Weinolsheim, Dalheim, Uelversheim, and Eimsheim are home to white grape varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Silvaner, Rivaner, Huxel, and Bacchus, as well as the red varieties Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, Portugieser, St. Laurent, and Regent.
From processing the harvest, storage, and maturation of the wines to bottling and sales, everything is handled in-house.
