Al-Cantàra extends over an area of about 20 hectares on the North/North-East slope of Etna. Here, 14 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of native varieties, including Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante. Four hectares host historic 85-year-old vineyards, of which 2000 vines are “Piede Franco”. The remaining plants date back to 2005. In addition, the company also cultivates international vines such as Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Three hectares are dedicated to olive groves, mainly composed of Nocellara dell’Etna, with olive trees of about 70 years.
