Located 204 kilometers south of Chile’s capital city, Santiago, Torrealba's 100 hectares of vineyards are nestled in one of best places for vine growing: the Curicó Valley. This valley has a priviledged mediterranean climate, with significant differences in temperature between day and night (around 20ºC) and a gentle sea breeze coming from the ocean, which helps regulate its temperature. Annual rainfall adds up to approximately 900 mm. in the autumn and winter months, followed by sunny summers. All of this, together with a clay soil, with medium fertility and good irrigation, creates a propitious environment for grape growing, allowing Viña Torrealba to produce not only full-bodied red wines with attractive aromas, but also it favors the slow maturing of white varieties, resulting in wines with great varietal intensity and aroma.
