Champagne Bauget Jouette is a family run champagne house established five generations ago in the Coteaux Sud d Epernay.
Now based in Epernay itself, capital of Champagne, the brand developed in the fifties under the impetus of Gaston Bauget and his wife Suzanne, Nee Jouette.
The vineyard now comprises 10.5 hectares, divided into thirty parcels across the Coteaux, Sud d Epernay, the Sezannais, the Marne Valley and the Côte des Blancs, Premier Cru. The diversity and unique nature of these historic terroirs make it possible to produce a varied range of champagnes, mostly blended from Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Pinot Noir, produced in lesser quantities from just a few small parcels, is used to make single vineyard champagnes and some limited edition blends Coteaux Champenois and Blanc de Noirs.
The greater part of the estate is managed by grassing and tilling the soil with the aim of abandoning all use of herbicides.
