On settlement in the Barossa in the 1840s on Lot 1 of Moorooroo, 72 varieties of grape vine, along with trial orchards and a market garden, were planted to see which would thrive in the new land. Thanks to the actions of 4th generation owners of this parcel of land, Turkey Flat Vineyards was born in 1990, and the shiraz vines planted in 1847 were saved.
The energy of Christie Schulz and her team has not waned since this time. Innovation, integrity and excellence are at the forefront of the Turkey Flat brand.
With another nod to their colorful history, Cellar Door is housed in the Schulz family 1860s bluestone butchers shop.
