Michelini i Mufatto Bierzo is the union between Gerardo, Andrea, and their eldest son, Manuel. The idea is to highlight forgotten places of Ponferrada (Bierzo) on the wine map, focusing on the Ponferrada valley. With the cool mountainous landscape rich in slate soils, they seek the complexity that 50+ year-old vineyards bring and create world-class Mencía-based wines.
