The company JFS - Sociedade Vinícola, Lda., placed in a traditional agricultural property in the North of Portugal, known as Quinta do Barco, produces and delivers Vinho Verde – white wine, red wine and rosé.
Quinta do Barco was acquired by JFS in 1994. During the first eight years, the focus was producing quality wines and selling them to the different agents of the region.
In 2002, in a space previously used for the storage of hop plant, it has been created a large cellar. It was the beginning of what would be a successful way in our own wine production.
The White Vinho Verde was the first to be launched in the market. After two years, due to a large market demand, the company also began to produce Vinho Verde Red Wine.
To achieve their goals, JFS only produces with the region’s most characteristic wine grape varieties on which it is possible to reach excellence, under a rigorous winemaking protocol, and using exclusively grapes from our farm, Quinta do Barco.
