Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo is a place of an astonishing beauty totally integrated in the first demarcation of the Douro region.
With a story longer than 250 years and one of the Portuguese Royal House lands until 1725, the property has conserved structures and keeps the original cellar building from 1764.
This property carefully framed in UNESCO territory has 120ha/300acre over the Douro river, along 1.5km/0,93mion the right bank.
Of these, 85ha/210acre are planted with carefully maintained vines, all letter A, planted with an integrated production system in the heart of the region (sub-region of Cima Corgo).
Each of the 41 plots of vineyards has its own individual character showing the uniqueness of this single estate and the history of great wines, where tradition and technology go hand in hand.The several historic sites, such as the river chapel where Nossa Senhora do Carmo belongs as the patron saint and others are still preserved to be visited.
