Ruus Brannvin makes old-style Swedish aquavit. Spirae has the taste of meadowsweet. Libbsticka uses lovage. Newly harvested plants are macerated in spirits for 4 months. After blending aromas develops further in tanks. It takes about 1 year to create a product. The result is deep in color and rich and full in taste. No harsh spirits flavour as in other aquavit beverages. In style more like oak matured dark spirits. Goes well with traditional food like crayfish and cured herring and "gravad lax". Absolutely fantastic to steak tartare.The deep flavours are reminiscent of exclusive gins and works well in cocktails. Our adaption of Moscow Mule called "Selkna Mule" turns the classic into an sparkling sensation of spicy ginger and grassy meadowsweet. A must try!
