The LION brand is a national icon in Sri Lanka, it is sought after by tourists and locals and is ranked among the top ten brands in the country, although it operates in a “dark market” due to advertising restrictions. It is also exported to over 20 countries around the world, among them – USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan and the UAE. Carlsberg has a 25% equity stake in the Company and we brew Carlsberg brands under license for distribution in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
