In 1897 the Italian immigrant Giuseppe Miolo arrived in Brazil and bought a piece of land in the southern part of the country.
This farm was called Lot 43 and was located in the middle of what we know today as Vale dos Vinhedos.
Having produced grapes from the beginning in 1897, the family founded the modern winery and Miolo brand in 1990.
In that relatively short period of time, Miolo has positioned itself as the preeminent premium producer in the Brazilian wine industry.
The business is now lead by the 3rd and 4th generations of Miolo Family.
The wineries of Miolo Wine Group produces 15 million liters of fine wines and sparkling wines per year.
Altogether, the group has 1200 hectares of own vineyards planted and export their products to 32 countries.
