Villa Giada is in Piemonte, well known wine area in north west of Italy.
We are halfway between the towns of Alba and Asti, near the village of
Canelli. Farmers since 5 generations we began making wine in 1934.
Today Villa Giada has 25 hectares vineyard. All the vineyards are exposed from south- east to south-west at an average of 300 meters above sea level , and are kept with grass between the row in order to respect the natural vegetative cycle. The soil of medium mixture, is mainly a compound of calcareous marl and is ideal to get typical fine wines, full and harmonious in their structure.
Near Villa Giada, the main estate, we have all the white grapes. Moscato d Asti has founded here the best terroir.Close to the village of Calosso, few kilometres from the winery, we grow Barbera and the very traditional and unique Gamba diPernice grape. At Cascina Dani, near the village of Agliano Terme, we have Nebbiolo and our best Barbera all in the important area of Nizza.
