The LLC Okureshi Wine Cellar is founded in village Okureshi in Tsageri Region. The company owns 6000 vines and 4000 among them give harvest. The grapes used to make the wine are cultivated on the territory of historical birthplace of this variety, the so-called Samandario vineyards in the village of Okureshi, Lechkhumi Region, which boasts the finest Okureshi grapes. The territory is located between the Khvamli Mountain and the river Tskhenistskali on southern slopes at 450-600 meters above the sea level. Red, naturally semi sweet wine produced from Usakhelauri grapes is one of Georgia’s rarest and most expensive wines. It has a pleasant ruby color and is characterized with aroma typical to this variety, moderate sweetness and full harmonious taste. The sugar level of our Usakhelauri varies between 26-28.5%. We make Usakhelauri in the family underground wine cellar located in the Okureshi village. The wine has been produced in full accordance with old traditions.
