Bonjour,I am Frederic Bourgoin, biodynamic viticulturist in the village of Saint-Saturnin (Charente, France). I do elaborate cognac in a natural viticulturist way. BOURGOIN COGNAC is a familial single estate growing vine for cognac making since 1930. We have today a vineyard in premiers bois, petite champagne and fins bois. Everything is done by ourselves from the vine to the bottling. My philosophy, as a vigneron terroiriste, is oriented to the understood and the respect of the living soil to get the best aromatical expression of our rare subsoil in our cognacs. In french we call that : Terroir. That is why our cognacs are so different from the others : no blended, no filtered, no sugar, no caramel or anything-else. That is also why our cognacs are bottled by vintage, by plot and by single cask. To get the best expression of the terroir is my paradigm.
