Enjoying a stunning view overhanging Garonne and Dordogne rivers, Clos du Notaire vines get a micro-climate thanks to estuary proximity and south exposition of their hills. Limestone subsoil was used as quarries for a long time and allows drainage at winter as well as pleasant coolness at summer. This (Bordeaux) vineyard, which takes place on an old abbey of the XIV century, was already quoted in FERET editions in 1874, as the second Cru Bourgeois and first handmade growth.
