The story of the Caprai winery began in 1971, when Arnaldo Caprai, succesfull business in textile sector, purchased 112 acres in Montefalco area.In 1988 the running of the company passed into the hands of Arnaldo's son Marco,who, with great passion , launched the project to cultivate the promotion of Sagrantino, the native grape of Montefalco area . The continued pursuit of excellence, combined with strong commitment to research and discovery , consolidated the international success of Sagrantino and Arnaldo Caprai estate became rapidly one of the most important producers Worldwide.
