At that time, the activities took place in a small winery located in Puebla de Sancho Pérez, a small village of Extremadura Region.
Later on, a new generation overtook the activities at the winery: the grandparents Antonio Medina and Esperanza Montaño. As the business grew favorably for the family, around 1975 they decided to extend the company, investing in an important plantation of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety and acquiring a new winery, BODEGA DEL CONVENTO, located in the wonderful town of Zafra.
Its member’s tenacity and laboriousness allowed BODEGAS MEDINA to become one of the few wineries of Extremadura which since then produces, ages and bottles high quality wines.
In the course of years, the legacy passed from parents to children. |
