The growing and production of wine have been present in the Žorž family from Slap since 1696 and they are a reminder of their tradition, nowadays supported by the modern touch in the art of wine making. With a production of wine extending on an area of nearly 30 acres, the Žorž farm is one of the largest familly owned winery in the Vipava Valley. Žorž vineyards are sowed with red grapes varieties, such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Barbera, as well as white grape varieties Pinot Gris, Sauvignon, Muscat Blanc, Malvasia, Riesling, as well as local varieties Zelen and Pinela (whites). In the year 2015 we became ecological winery, which proves that we are following the newest and the best trends in wine producing. At the moment we are trying to expand our market on other EU countries, USA and Asia countries.
