We manage a vineyard of 8.5 hectares. The vineyards are at the Madi Basin – at the boundary of Mad, Tallya and Ratka. The composition of the soil is quite diverse: rhiolit, andesite, rhiolite tuff, siliceous sediment and zeolite, which provides strong minerality to our wines. As we cultivate our vineyard, we try to keep the guidelines of the integrated agriculture technology, despite the strict harvest restriction.
We harvest by hand, process the selected grapes carefully and ripen in a zemplenian oak barrel. We produce our wines by preserving the local values, using minimal technology and minimal intervention, in an artisan way. There is only as much wine produced in each year as can be perfect.
From 2009, the vinery started to establish its own, traditional processor. The winery in Mad consists of three parts: a cellar, a taster- and welcome room, and a processing cellar.
We started the wider sale of our wines in 2012.
