The very beginning of the history of our wine is personified by Aurelio Quaresima, nicknamed Lello.
In Cupramontana (Ancona) village Lello owned a 3 hectares big vineyard producing the so-called classic white wine Verdicchio dei Castelli di jesi. Lello was a well known and esteemed person in the territory, a man like many others living during the post-war period.
With great pleasure he welcomed in his house last minute guests offering some wine, showing the cellar and entertaining them by playing util late at night his concertina. What a fun! When he passed away, the tradition and his savoir faire had been already handed down to his sons Donatello and Ivo: although committed to other activities for a period of their lifetime, the new generation carried on the way their father first started.
