Sigurdsson is a family name associated with the production of fine liquors and beer for over 30 years. Still Sigurdsson owned and operated we are expanded into the beer industry and based in Iceland. We proudly brew and bottle Black Death Beer in Akureyri, the principal town in the north of Iceland, approx. 100 km south of the arctic circle. We use only high quality materials in our brewing. Water is the most important one. We source our water from Hlarfjall mountain, pure and refreshing right from the well. Icelandic water is among the purest you find _ very low in TDS and high in pH. The Black Death label has its roots all the way back to 1906, when the Sigurdsson family started bartering home distilled alcohol with ships off the coast in Siglunes in the north of Iceland. The Vodka and the Snaps have ceased production, but now the brand is being revived with this latest addition to the family; Black Death Beer.
