In 2002 Luciano Cesarini,engineer passionate of agricolture,leaves his international roles in energy/bank field to dedicate himself,with his brother and his wife,to the wine world.They choose to build the winery on the ancient Flaminia road near the Caupona of Bastardo,where carters sought private hospitality and where,it is said,lived a landlord who served a “sweet and perfumed” wine to people directed to Rome.Today the winery is considered one of the most technologically advanced in Europe.After having studied more than 50 winery around Europe,Luciano has projected several original systems,like electromagnetic field insulation and saturated air suction with daily recirculation.Thanks to technology the bacterias cannot remain in the cellar,so the family can avoid to use chemistry.They do not use chemistry neither in the vineyards:all the grapes are hand-picked and manually selected on 2 vibranting tables.SIGNAE wants to repropose the wine of the ancient Umbrian tradition.
