The Kurtatsch village is situated directly beside the Wine Route in the south of South Tyrol. In middle of vineyards is located the Cortaccia Winery. 200 members cultivate 170 hectares of vineyards totally hilly. The wine-producing area is from 200 to 900 m above sea level. Members produce autochthons and international grape varieties. Cortaccia Winery is one of the most famous wineries in Italy. The white wines impress with freshness and elegance. The red wines are complex and reflect the character of the area. The grape varieties who offer Cortaccia are the following: Whitewines: Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Müller Thurgau, Gewürztraminer, Moscato Giallo. Redwines: Schiava, Lagrein, Pinot Nero, Merlot, Cabernet.
