Il Farneto Soc. Agricola born in the early ’90 by the idea of Marco Bertoni in order to contribute to the development of sustainable agriculture and environmentally friendly.
The farm is located on a plateau to 250 m. above sea level among Canossa and Scandiano hills, at the feet of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna apennines and is surrounded by woods and ravines fossiliferous.
The particular characteristics of the soil (clay, sand and silt) and its isolated eastern exposure makes this area particularly suited to the cultivation of quality grapes.
The farm produces organic wines without the use of additives, following natural winemaking techniques: do not practice filtration and the amount of sulfite present is well below the specifications that regulate the production of the biological.
The goal is to produce wines that are an expression of the land and that are distinguished by their characteristics.
