Ocho is the only SINGLE ESTATE TEQUILA that produces anual VINTAGES that differ from one another in nose and flavor. Ocho demonstrates that the centuries old concept of “terroir” exists in the Agave as well as in the grape. “Terroir” is a French concept, originating in wine, that states grapes take unique and distinctive characteristics from the soil in which they are grown. Each piece of ground imparts different characteristics to the grape. Ocho harvests its agave from different single estates at different altitudes in different micro climates each year – delivering vintages of Tequila that differ in nose and flavor from one another. Whereas most distillers aim to produce “Consistency of Character” in their products (tastes the same year in and year out), Ocho delivers “complexity of Character” (tastes differently each year). Ocho has produced one or more single estate bottlings per year since its launch in 2008.
