The Counts Hunyady Estate was established in the mid 1990s when József and Etienne Hunyady returned in possession of their family's land in Kéthely. The Counts Hunyady had been producing wine in the region since the mid 18th Century but were expropriated after WWII. The Hunyady brothers grow Kékfrankso, Pinot Noir and Gewurtztraminer on 10 hectares. The wine is made in the original 18th cellar using modern equipment. We strive to bring out the best of the great Hungarian wine-growing tradition using current techniques. The estate adheres to strict EU standards of agro-environmental management.
