The distillery that we know today as Tequileña started and at the beginning of the XIX century. In October of 1989, Tequileña S.A., was acquired by Mr. Enrique Fonseca, a fourth generation Agave grower, who along with his father, had become the largest land-holders of Blue Agave in the country. Upon entry to the 21st. Century, the concepts and designs began to change to reflect a more contemporary look more in tune with a new generation of consumers.
