Bodega del Desierto (literally translated “Winery of the Desert”) is located in the isolated town of 25 de Mayo, La Pampa province, Patagonia Argentina.
The 140 hectares of vineyard produce two lines of wine that are bottled in estate: Desierto 25 and Desierto Pampa. Desierto 25 is a line of well-structured varietals where 70% of the wine spends nine months in American and French oak barrels. Desierto Pampa is a line of highly complex wines that goes through eighteen months in French oak barrels.
Surrounded by 160 km of desert, the grapes from our low yielding vineyards reflect their distinctive environment, which is among the world’s most challenging - yet rewarding - settings for growing fine wine grapes.
Our wines tell the story.
