We are currently farming a total of 52 Ha of grapes which consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinotage, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and a bit of Chenin Blanc. All the grapes we use as well as all the wine we are marketing in our top brand - Major''s Hill - is coming from our farm. We have the Major''s Hill range which is our flagship range, with all being 100% cultivar wine. Our red wines is all barrel aged for at least 12 to 18 months, all depending on when we are satisfied with the development of the specific wine. Alkie and I will on a constant base taste the wine to monitor the development and then decide when to bottle and which barrels to put together at what time. Our policy is that the wine must be loved by the public and not necessarily the wine judges.
