Santo Wines is Santorini largest wine maker. It is a cooperative with 2500 member/producers and specializes in wines made from the local varieties of grapes and traditional types of wines which date back centuries. Santorini, an island known for its unique rugged beauty, is becoming more and more known for its award winning wines made from grapes which grow in the rich volcanic ash and which endure harsh climatic conditions. Santo Wines specializes in the famous sweet Vinsanto which is made with sun dried grapes, the traditional Nychteri made with chosen grapes, and Assyrtico - made from the most common local varietal. In total, Santo Wines produces appoximately 25 different types of wines, some made with vary rare varieties or with unique aging techniques. The winery itself is in an idyllic location and we invite you to visit us and to experience all the best Santorini has to offer.
