The foundation of Bodegas de Utiel dates back to 1985 when the family “De las Heras” acquired the farm El Renegado, located between the Village of Caudete de las Fuentes and Venta del Moro (Valencia). This is a farm located in the wine region of the Utiel-Requena, with an area of approximately 450 hectares. The main economic exploitation of the estate are vineyards. The remaining land consists primarily of mountains covered by pine trees and a small area occupied by the winery facilities, the Barrel Hall and an old countryside Manor House, that now, is the charming Hotel, ENTRE VIÑAS. Additionally, the property El Renegado has valuable natural assets, including its centennial oak trees, some over 500 years old, and a forest with a great ecological value.
