Alcantar Imports is an importer and wholesaler of Mezcal. Mezcal is an agave-based spirit. It has been known as the Firewater of the Gods by ancient Meso-Americans in Mexico. Its produced organically in an artesian way for over 400 years. Mezcal is also the first spirit to be distilled from the agave plant. In fact, Tequila is a mezcal. We opened our doors in December 2009 in Chicago, Illinois. Our goal is to promote and sell the finest ancient spirit from Mexico to the world.
