CELLER MARIOL is a family-owned winery us- ing traditional wine making methods for over one hundred years. The experience and know-how of Josep Vaquer, current owner and one of the founders of Terra Alta Apellation of Origin, have guided us to com- bine a deep devotion to our homeland with state- of-the-art technologies in order to produce our quality wines. The MARIOL winery is located in Batea, Terra Alta, the southernmost region of Catalonia. At 500 meters above sea level with a Mediterranean climate. At CELLER MARIOL, we believe healthy, organic farming methods produce the finest fruit, for that reason, we use only ecologically friendly methods totally free from herbicides and pesticides. CELLER MARIOL controls the production of over 2,000 hectares of vineyards producing the follow- ing white and red varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Verdejo, Chardonnay, Tempranillo and Garnacha.
