Cave de l''Abbé Rous is a coop uniting wine growers covering 1 150 ha of vines and representing 80% of the AOC Banyuls (VDN, fortified wines)and 60% of the AOC Collioure (dry wines)and a vinagre for gastronomy. Annual production is 3 million bottles sold mainly in France but as well in some countries abroad: Germany, Belgium, UK, Canada, USA, Australia, Spain and Italy and more recently China. We cover the three channels, On-Trade, Off-Trade and direct sales to consumers. We sell AOC Banyuls and Banyuls Grand Cru, under traditionnal methods (oxydative environment) and rimage (reductive environment). AOC Collioure and Vinaigre de Banyuls. The signature of these products come from a unique terroir made of moutains (Pyrénnées chain) diving into the the Mediterranean see; soil made of schist, tilted slopes, southern heat with the Tramontane wind to dry the crop.
