In 1988, while he was successfully completing his oenology studies, Ignazio Giovine started his farming and winemaking operations, adding some favourably positioned plots of land which he bought on the Castellero hill to the existing family vineyards, located on the Sant'Antonio hill. After five years spent experimenting with grapes and wines, in 1993 for the first time he vinified his harvest in his brand new winery, and obtained two particularly well-structured wines, a Sauvignon and a Chardonnay, both characterized by their markedly calcareous soil of origin. With the 1995 vintage, the range was further enlarged to include a Moscato d’Asti DOCG and a superior barrel-aged Barbera d’Asti. Currently, the estate's area under vines is about 8 hectares, producing mostly Barbera, Chardonnay, Muscat blanc (Moscato di Canelli), Nebbiolo, Albarossa, Freisa d'Asti, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon blanc. The annual production is approximately 44,000 bottles
