The winery was given the name of “Tierra Mayor” as a tribute to high altitude lands, the most suitable for cultivation. These lands express the essence of a region and seduce vines so that they generate the most delicate wines. Moreover, Tierra Mayor conveys the history, the beauty and the charm of San Juan. San Juan province was chosen as the basis for this project. Huanacache district, at the foot of the Andes Mountains, with an altitude of 950 meters above sea level was the specific area where 55 hectares were cultivated by the company. This viticulture and winemaking project combines a unique terroir, a thorough grape selection, a controlled fermentation process in stainless steel tanks, oak barrel aging and expert technical efforts. The end result is the achievement of wines of perfect harmony and balance, conveyed in a family of three wine lines: TIERRA MAYOR VARIETALES; TIERRA MAYOR ACTOS y TIERRA MAYOR RESERVE.
