Pearse and Delaney is a negociant label developed in 2007 by Michael Campbell, Richard Dear and Alan McCorkindale. The company structure is based on the model developed by Jean Pierre Moeuix at the start of the 20th Century in Bordeaux in France. We are making small batches of high quality produce which we source from growers we have developed a strong relationship with throughout New Zealand. We look for the best expression of the fruit which tells the story of both the variety and the region it comes from. Pearse and Delaney wines are simply packaged as we believe that the wine speaks for itself. Richard Dear is our financial director and keeps our costs at a minimum, Jancis Robinson (the world leading wine authority) has described Alan McCorkindale as New Zealand’s best winemaker and dux of his winemaking class and amongst his peers Michael Campbell is seen as one of New Zealand’s top marketers with a Master Degree in Marketing.
