Woollaston Estates produce high quality, distinctive wines under the Woollaston and Tussock labels. Nelson''s sunny, maritime climate yields intensely flavoured white wines and concentrated, supple Pinot Noir.
A gentle and natural approach is taken when growing grapes and making wine, with the minimum of human intervention allowing the fruit to fully express varietal characters and the place in which it was grown. Characters defined in the vineyard are subtly enhanced in a four-level gravity-fed winery, built into the hillside with a ''living roof'' of tussock and shrubs.
