Domaine de Cabasse is a procucer of great Southern Rhone Wines. LOCATION The Domaine is situated at the foot of Séguret, classified as one of the 135 most beautiful villages of France, near the Dentelles de Montmirail, about 20 km northeast of Orange. VINIFICATION Fermentation of destemmed grapes, extraction of 5 to 20 days. We are the producers of cuvées like Cuvée Garnacho, Cuvée Casa Bassa, D’Eux, Le Rosé de Marie-Antoinette. We are looking for balance and elegance in our « Sophiticated Winemaking »* * Wine Spectator, Dec 15 2001, ranking our Gigondas 1999 red as Highly Recommended (94 points) VITICULTURAL MANAGEMENT Permanent effort of quality improvement through yield reduction with pruning and crop management. Manual grape harvesting with sorting out, careful vinification with two consulting Enologists (University of Bordeaux). The cultivation follows the principles of integrated crop management and respects the ecological context.
