Georges Barbier may not be well known to private wine buyers, but he and his team supply many of the country’s finest hotels and restaurants with great wines, particularly in the south. They happily sell to consumers, although they don’t have a shop. They are very strong in Spanish wines (Georges is Rene Barbier’s cousin) and Burgundy, as well as having some especially good Cognac and Calvados.
