The Petrus Gaia estate traces back to the late 14th century. The property is 34 acres of vines and produces 50,000 bottles a year. Vineyard's sloping clay calcareous soil faces south, allowing the grappes to grow to exceptional maturity. The blend of Merlot (75%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) produces a fine and elegant wine full of charm. The nose is dominated by red fruit aromas and accented with notes of vanilla. The taste is very complex, melting with silky tannins.
