We produce super premium tequilas and we have several gold medals at The Berverage Tasting Institute (Chicago, IL. USA) and the medals are: GOLD • Canicas Tequila Reposado 100% Agave Azul. Pale yellowish gold. Orange and honeysuckle aromas are attractive. A silky entry leads to a medium-bodied palate with well-balanced agave, fruit, mineral, and perfume elements. Finishes with a trail of dusty agave and peppery heat. Subtle and refined. (tasted on 12/19/2001) GOLD • Canicas Añejo Tequila 100% Agave Azul. Medium copper with a slight olive cast. Ripe fruits,herb, and cola aromas are reminiscent of a French aperitif wine. A round, supple entry leads to a light-to medium bodied palate with perfumy, ripe autumn fruit and lavish brown spices. Finishes with a hint of dry, oaky tannins. A delicious and very well made, lighter-styled spirit that is somewhat fruitier than typical for an añejo.
