Weltevrede (translates as well-satisfied) is a Chardonnay specialist in South Africa. Woolworths White Wine of the Year 2005 with the unoaked Chardonnay Sparkling wine (Cap Classique) winner of the year 2003/4 for Chardonnay Philip Jonker produces terroir specific Chardonnays with a true sense of place. Three ranges gives value at different price ranges. A family estate, Weltevrede prefers to work with small dedicated companies who can focus and give the attention it deserves. Weltevrede is actively involved from the farm with direct marketing and contact with the trade/ public/ press. Most succesful is the the UK market with 35% of the sales.
