Château Caban was acquired in 1963. Traditional winemaking through a combination of technology and time-honoured methods,from maturing in the vat to ageing in barrels. The vineyard is planted with 50% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec. The soils produce wines with a recognizable liquorice flavour from year to year,along with scents of red fruits. The time spent in oak barrels enhances their aromas with vanilla and toasted notes. They can be enjoyed from second year and keep all their charm intact for a good 10 years.
