Mount Cass vineyard, planted in 1982, is one of the three founding vineyards in the Waipara Valley.
The Mount Cass Vineyard takes its name from the prominent landmark of Mt. Cass that rises to over 500 metres above sea level.
Wines Produced
Sauvignon Blanc - typically gooseberry, herbaceous flavours.
Riesling - dry to medium styles with crisp apple, lime and citrus flavours.
Chardonnay - Flavours typical are melons and citrus flavours.
Pinot Noir - cherries & berries make this a fruity style with spicy oak.
Cabernet Sauvignon - medium to full body dependent on vintage, with cassis & black forest gateau.
Late Harvest Selection - apricots, muscatel raisins, good acid balance & clean finish.
