1885: Distillerie de la Salers,one of the oldest French spirit houses is born. We produce since, high quality French aperitifs with wild Gentian and also liqueurs and eaux de vie. Our famous savoir-faire... « SALERS Gentian » is made from a distilled blend of wild gentian roots from the AUVERGNE Mountains, which are harvested by hand and then aged for four years in barrels made from French Limousin oak. It suits all tastes: lively at 20%, softer and more subtle at 25%vol or more of a liqueur at 30%vol, on a background of fruit- and citrus-scented cognac. The fruit ‘cremes’ range: All woodland and wild fruits are on offer; strawberries, blackcurrants, bilberries, raspberries, blackberries, walnuts and sweet chestnuts; The quality reputation of our liqueurs is renowned, for they are distributed in the Paris finest stores such as “Fauchon”, “Galeries Lafayette” or “Le Bon Marché”...
