Kies is a family-owned and run winery producing premium quality wines in the Barossa region of South Australia. All the fruit used are estate grown and from vines up to 45 years old. We specialise in red wines with Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon which display all the characteristics that have made the region so famous. Also, under the guiding influence of Jim and Jo Irine, our winemakers, we have developed a strong focus on the Merlot variety, producing an award-winning sparkling, an unoaked early-drinker and a classic, rich full-bodied example. Currently we produce around 3000 cases per year but we grow enough high-quality fruit to increase this to 10,000 over the next few years. We are active in various export markets and are successfully growing the brand both at home and internationally.
