Schola Sarmenti was born with the aim of combining technological innovation with tradition, in order to relaunch a patrimony of culture and ancient technique of the vineyards. Schola Sarmenti has chosen to conduct the crop of the grapes obtained by the vineyard of Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia Nera, that represent the most typical wine production of high quality and generosity of the Penisola Salentina. More precisely, these vineyards are cultivated in the territory of Nardò Lecce, in the south extreme of Italy. Technical news of the vineyards: number of hectares 15; Average age of the vineyards: 35 years; Tecnique used for the cultivation of the vineyards: sapling Pugliese; Harvesting: picked up by hand; number of stumps per hectare: 4.500; production per hectare: Kg. 8.000; Microcliamte: typical Mediterranean, warm. i.e. arid; Exposure of the vineyards: Southern direction in a temperature area influenced by the surrounding sea.
